Privacy Policy

Air Signal Labs LLC develops Towerless, a receive-only radio recording and review system. This policy covers our website, public demos, inquiries, accounts, and related services. A customer deployment may have separate written data-processing terms. Where we handle records on a customer’s instructions, that customer also determines the purposes, access, and lawful basis for its deployment.

Features and future integrations do not begin collecting new categories of information merely because they appear in a roadmap. We will explain material new processing and obtain consent where required before introducing it. Earlier contractual and privacy commitments continue to protect information collected under them.

Information you provide: email address, name, organization or airport, role, messages, account information, and evaluation or deployment details. Launch-update forms currently collect an email address and the page and interest associated with signup. Contact forms collect the details you submit.

Mobile phone number and SMS choices: a mobile number you give us for your account or to receive text notifications, and whether and when you opted in to or out of our text messages. See SMS Privacy below.

Website and service activity: IP address, browser and device details, page views, feature interactions, security logs, and account events. Cookies and browser storage support authentication, preferences, and analytics as described below.

Operational material: received radio audio, transcripts, timestamps, frequencies, callsigns or other spoken identifiers, available aircraft identifiers and positions, related tracks, receiver location and status, and diagnostic information. Voices and aircraft or site identifiers may relate to people. These records can come from authorized deployments, our prototype receiver, or aircraft and map-data providers. A transcript or association may be inaccurate.

Order information, where an existing or future paid arrangement applies: configuration, billing contact, order and payment status, and limited payment metadata. Payment processors handle full payment-card details; public launch forms do not request them.

We use information to respond to inquiries, send requested updates, manage accounts or agreements, operate and secure Towerless, produce recordings and related analysis, investigate errors, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We use website analytics to understand site use. We do not use customer operational records to run targeted advertising.

Customer records remain subject to the customer’s agreement and instructions. We do not use identifiable customer audio, transcripts, receiver locations, or site identities to train models without express permission. Service diagnostics and properly de-identified statistics may support reliability and development only within applicable agreements and prior commitments. De-identification is not a permission to publish identifiable records.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, transferred, or shared for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be provided to telecommunications carriers, aggregators, and service providers solely as necessary to deliver and operate the text messaging service.

If you opt in on our SMS Notifications page (airsignallabs.com/sms-opt-in), Air Signal Labs LLC sends recurring account and system notification text messages to the mobile number you provide: Towerless deployment status, system status, account updates, and notifications you configure. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

We use your mobile number and SMS consent only to send the messages you opted into and to honor your choices, including opt-outs. We keep a record of your consent, including when you gave it, the wording you agreed to, and the IP address and browser information of the submission, to document your consent and prevent abuse.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time, or reply HELP for help. Opting in to text messages is not a condition of purchase. Questions: contact@airsignallabs.com.

The public demo can display selected prototype radio recordings, transcripts, timestamps, frequencies, aircraft identifiers, and associated positions or tracks. It also contains clearly labeled fictional scenarios and illustrative movement. Public demo material is separate from private customer deployments; using Towerless does not automatically publish a customer’s records.

Contact us if a public recording contains personal information or appears inaccurate or inappropriate. Include the page, date, time, or recording identifier so we can locate and review it. We may verify a request and consider applicable rights, preservation duties, and the interests of other people.

We use providers for hosting and delivery, storage and authentication, email, text messages, analytics, maps, aircraft data, and payment processing where applicable. The website uses Vercel, Supabase, Google Analytics, and, when configured, PostHog. Email, text-message, and payment arrangements may use Resend, Twilio, and Stripe. Map and aircraft services may receive requests and technical information needed to deliver their content. Providers’ own services may also have their own privacy notices.

Access to private customer operational records is limited to providing and supporting the agreed service and authorized recipients. We do not sell personal information or customer operational records, or create an automatic reporting feed to regulators from private deployments. We disclose records at the customer’s direction or when legally required, and notify the customer of legal demands when permitted, consistent with the applicable agreement.

We may disclose necessary account or technical information to protect the service, respond to lawful process, or address fraud. A corporate transaction may require limited disclosure subject to appropriate safeguards and existing commitments. Mobile information and text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared for marketing or promotional purposes; they are provided only as described in SMS Privacy above. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our providers; applicable transfer requirements still apply.

Account cookies and local browser storage can maintain sign-in state and interface preferences. Google Analytics is configured on the website and may use cookies to measure visits and interactions. PostHog, when enabled, is configured with in-memory persistence and session replay disabled. Third-party pages and embedded services may use their own storage.

You can restrict cookies or tracking with your browser settings and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Restricting essential storage may affect sign-in or saved preferences. The site does not currently apply a separate automatic response to Do Not Track signals. Where applicable law requires consent or an opt-out to be honored, those requirements apply regardless of this description.

Unsubscribe using an available email link or contact contact@airsignallabs.com to stop launch or marketing updates. We may still send necessary messages about an active account, agreement, security issue, or your request.

We keep information for the service or business purpose for which it was collected, applicable agreements, security, and legal obligations. Operational retention varies by deployment and agreed configuration. The public demo is not a permanent archive. Contact us about access, export, preservation, correction, or deletion; this policy does not imply that a self-service control is available.

Deletion may be limited by another person’s rights, legal preservation duties, or records needed for an ongoing agreement or dispute. Backup copies may remain until their normal deletion cycle. Specific deletion deadlines or protections previously agreed with a customer continue to apply.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including access controls. No system is completely secure. Report a suspected privacy or security issue to contact@airsignallabs.com.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of information, or restriction of or objection to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to verify your identity and authority. We will explain a refusal and any applicable appeal process; you may also contact your privacy regulator. For customer-controlled records, we may refer a request to the customer and assist as required.

Our website and services are intended for adults and organizations, not children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

We will post a new date when this policy changes and notify affected people of material changes as required. We will not retroactively expand uses of collected information contrary to earlier promises without the necessary notice and permission.
